A shipping container makes a good outdoor bar: it locks, it travels and it takes a wrap. For an outdoor event on Harbor Boulevard in Ventura we turned one into the Surf Side Bar, wrapped in Jack Daniel’s advertising, with a printed header sign on top that reads from across the grounds.
What we produced
- Full-height printed panels on the container walls: the black-and-white bottle and guitar-amp artwork, the Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 lock-ups and the responsibility copy.
- The Surf Side Bar header, a printed sign in a wood-plank style with “Beer · Cocktails · Water”, mounted on the roof of the container so it reads from a distance.
- Roll-up door graphics that line up with the wall panels when the bar is closed.
How it was made
The artwork was printed on rigid panels and vinyl in our shop, laminated for outdoor use, and cut to the container’s corrugations and door openings. On site our crew fitted the panels, applied the door graphics and set the header sign on the roof. Everything is designed to come off cleanly when the event ends, so the container goes back to work.
Why brands use containers for events
A wrapped container is a bar, a billboard and a storage unit in one. It arrives on a truck, opens in minutes and closes securely at night. Compared with a tent, it looks built rather than temporary, and the wrap turns every side into advertising space.
