Custom Vinyl Lettering in Los Angeles, Cut in Our Own Shop
Vinyl lettering is the fastest, most affordable way to put your business name, phone number, hours or logo on glass, doors, walls and vehicles. Global Signs & Graphics cuts die-cut vinyl letters on our own plotters in Pacoima, so there is no outside print shop to wait on. You send a logo or the words, we send a proof, and we cut and (if you want) install it. We also make custom window decals for business, vinyl decals in Los Angeles, wall decals and floor decals, with window decal printing for full-color designs.
What We Cut in Vinyl
- Storefront window lettering: business name, services, phone number, website and hours on the glass, in one or several colors.
- Door lettering: suite numbers, “Push / Pull,” business hours, license numbers and “Open” signs for glass entry doors.
- Office and lobby glass: die-cut logos and names for reception windows and conference rooms. For privacy, pair them with frosted window film.
- Wall lettering: cut vinyl names, slogans and logos for lobbies, studios, gyms and classrooms. See our office wall graphics for larger printed designs.
- Vehicle lettering: company name, phone and license number for work trucks and vans. Not sure whether you need lettering or a wrap? Read vehicle lettering vs. vehicle wrap.
- Decals and logos: cut-to-shape vinyl decals for equipment, signs, windows and displays.
Die-Cut Vinyl vs. Printed Vinyl
Die-cut (also called cut vinyl) is solid-color vinyl cut into the shape of your letters or logo. There is no background, so the glass or wall shows through and the lettering looks clean and professional. Because each color is a separate sheet of vinyl, it suits one-, two- and three-color logos, text and simple shapes. Printed vinyl is better when your artwork has gradients, photos or many colors, and it is usually printed on clear or white vinyl and cut around the edge. We do both. Not sure which is right? Send us your logo and we will tell you.
How It Works
- Send your artwork. A vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) is best. If you only have a JPG or a photo, send it anyway and we will tell you whether it needs to be redrawn.
- Tell us the size and where it goes. Photos of the glass or door with a rough measurement are enough to start.
- Approve the proof. We show you the lettering to scale on your window or wall before we cut.
- We cut it. Letters are cut and weeded in our Pacoima shop and covered with transfer tape for clean application.
- Install or pick up. We can install it for you, or you can pick it up and apply it yourself.
Colors and Finishes
Cut vinyl comes in a wide range of solid colors, including white, black, metallic gold and silver, and matching brand colors. Outdoor-rated vinyl is made to hold up to Los Angeles sun on storefront glass and vehicles. For a frosted or etched-glass look, we cut lettering from frosted film, and for a see-out, show-in storefront graphic, see perforated window vinyl. Our window graphics page compares all the window options side by side.

Vinyl Lettering FAQ
How much does vinyl lettering cost?
It depends on the size, the number of colors, how much lettering there is and whether we install it. Send us the wording or logo and the approximate size, and we will quote it. For how window graphics are priced, see window graphics cost in Los Angeles.
How fast can I get it?
Cut vinyl is one of our fastest products because we cut it in our own shop. Tell us your date when you contact us and we will confirm what is realistic.
What file do you need?
A vector logo file is best, but we can start from a JPG or a photo. We will let you know if the artwork needs to be redrawn before it can be cut.
Can you put lettering on glass doors and windows?
Yes. Window and door lettering is one of the most common jobs we do, for stores, restaurants, clinics, offices and gyms across Los Angeles.
Do you do vehicle lettering?
Yes. We cut company names, phone numbers and license numbers for trucks, vans and fleets. See lettering vs. wrap to choose.
Do you serve areas outside Pacoima?
Yes. We are based in Pacoima and serve the San Fernando Valley and all of Los Angeles, including Burbank, Van Nuys, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Culver City, Santa Monica and Pasadena.
