Most office wall graphics requests start the same way: “we have a big blank wall and we want it to look like a real company.” Here are the twelve ideas we install most often for Los Angeles offices, from the reception wall to the stairwell, with a note on what each one is made of.
1. The reception wall
A printed mural or brand pattern behind the front desk with a dimensional logo mounted on top. The first photo every visitor takes. Printed wall vinyl plus acrylic or metal letters. See lobby signs.
2. Values or mission wall
The company’s values in large cut-vinyl lettering on a painted accent wall, no background, so it reads as painted type. Cheap, fast, and the wall most often photographed for recruiting.
3. Company timeline
A corridor mural that runs the company’s history year by year, with photos. Printed as a seamless wrap; new years are added as decals.
4. City skyline or map mural
Los Angeles skyline, the neighborhood map, or the routes the company serves, printed full-wall in the break room or open office.
5. Frosted conference-room glass with a die-cut logo
Privacy band on the glass with the logo cut out of the frost, like the MBP Solutions office in Van Nuys. See frosted window film.
6. Room names on glass
Every meeting room named after a neighborhood, a product or a value, in cut vinyl on the door glass. Wayfinding and personality in one.
7. Floor numerals and stairwell supergraphics
Oversized numbers and directional arrows on stairwell and elevator-lobby walls. Cut vinyl or printed panels; also the easiest way to make a shared building feel branded.
8. Photography wall
Large-format photos of the team, the product or the work, printed as a grid of wall decals so individual images can be swapped later.
9. Break-room and kitchen graphics
Bold pattern or a playful mural where people eat; the wall that sets the tone for culture. Laminated for scuffs.
10. Gym and wellness-room graphics
Motivational lettering and full-wall murals on the office gym walls, printed on scuff-resistant laminated vinyl.
11. Product or service explainer wall
For companies that host clients: a wall that explains what you do in one diagram, printed large. Doubles as the backdrop for video calls.
12. The exterior wall
If the building has a blank stucco or block wall facing the parking lot, a printed graphic on rough-wall vinyl brands the property from the street, like the Rémy Martin wall at Liquor Bank. Exterior graphics with a commercial message need a permit check first.
